Jennifer and Trey’s wedding day reminds me of a fairy tale story. It was like a Princess and her Prince. From Trey’s military clothing, to Jennifer’s princess wedding dress, to the pictures on the terrace and the garden at Rose Hall Event Center.
Every love story is so unique and different. I really love that I’m able to see it as a Dallas Georgia wedding photographer. And by observing and studying the couple, I help those emotions come out. A good start is always to have the couple look at each other. Their faces light up and their eyes are filled with love. Interaction during the bride and groom’s portraits are so important because that’s how pictures come alive. But before a couple is able to interact with each other, they have to feel comfortable with me and they have to trust me. Most of my couples have not met me in person prior to their wedding day, but they are already comfortable with me and they let me do what I do best. Tell their unique wedding day love story. Trust begins the moment they are interested in my services, and it slowly builds up little by little as we communicate and start the photography process.
And as much as I love the emotion I capture during the bride and groom’s portraits, I will always feel the most emotion during son or daughter pictures with their parents. As a mom of twin toddlers, I already feel sad when I see them growing so fast and start to become more and more independent and needing me a little less each season. And seeing a bride or a groom with their parents, brings up those emotions that parents must be feel. It’s different when your child starts to walk, or gets off the bottle or when they start going to school. They are getting older but they are still your babies. But on their wedding day, it would be so hard for them to feel like your babies anymore because someone else is going to take care of them now. And even though they will probably always be your babies in your heart, they have grown and left the nest to start their own lives and their own families.
But in another way, I always think about how it must be a great feeling inside as well. That your son or your daughter have grown up to be independent and responsible adults and they are now ready to do what it takes to provide and support each other and their future children. It is all such a bitter sweet time of celebration and perhaps mourning as well for a parent.
That’s why weddings are so important and even more so are the memories that it creates. When all the family and friends come together to celebrate the love, union and future of a couple that have made a life long commitment to love one another and serve each other in love.
I love capturing all the details on your wedding day. From your venue to your dress, flowers, jewelry and any other detail that is a part of your wedding day.
This first look with daddy was unplanned! I was taking Jennifer’s pictures with her bridesmaids and then her dad came up when we were done and saw his daughter up close, and it was the sweetest moment!
Jennifer and Trey chose to do a first look and they also exchanged gifts right after. During a first look you get so much privacy and time to enjoy with one another.
I really enjoy taking pictures of them from the terrace! It reminded me so much of a fairy tale story.
Reception details are another important part of your wedding day as it helps tell your story of all the details you spent so much time choosing and I capture it as it all comes together beautifully.
Speaking or fairy tales, the bride and groom’s dance was so fitting. It reminded me of cinderella.
Parent dances are so emotional! One of my favorite moments to capture!
And just like a fairy tale, another love story comes true!
